We use a 3rd party service Uptime Robot, which provides an automated monitoring service to watch for any problems with your web site. The tool will check the site up to every few seconds and will notify our team via email, messenger or an instant app notification.
Update WP Core
If you have a campaign with us, you web site is running WordPress. As you know software is constantly changing and to provide the best performance and mitigate any security risks with WordPress we will apply WordPress Core software updates to your web site. We choose not to automatically update WordPress as sometimes there can be incompatibilities with untested plugins and you theme or WordPress Core that might break you web site.
Update Plugins
You WordPress site uses several 3rd party plugins to provide additional functionality beyond the WordPress Core. We will update these on you web site to ensure the best performance and security for you web site, along with any bug fixes and improvements provided for you plugins. We also choose not to automatically update plugins for the same reasons as above.
Staging Site Alpha Testing
A staging site is mirrored version of you web site that is not publicly available, where we can test WordPress Core and plugin updates before releasing them to your public (production) web site. Once tested, these updates can be applied without any issues and potentially at a non-peak time.
Automated Malware Scanning
We use a 3rd party software Imunify360 to automatically perform routine scans on your entire web site. Imunify360 will automatically quarantine any suspicious files and alert our team for further investigation.
DDOS, Brute Force Protection
DDOS or Distributed Denial of Service Attack is a type of attack where the attacker will attempt to prevent your site from operating by flooding it with more traffic than it can handle. There are several methods attackers may employ to achieve this but it is mitigated on you server but automatically blocking or blacklisting abnormally frequent requests as they are happening. This will ensure a balanced load on you server(s) and also ensure uptime for your web site. We are using a combination of Apache mod_evasive and CPHulk software to enable DDOS protection via rate limiting.
Monitor & Fix Broken Links
Broken links and 404 pages are bad news for you web site from an SEO perspective. We automated broken link checking with a 3rd party WordPress plugin which will initially scan your web site and then alert us in future if any broken links are detected.
Daily Off-Site/Cloud Backups
Within our data center we have monthly snapshots of all our servers. Additionally we automate and retain multiple backups of you web site and related database and files to Amazon S3.
Monthly Reporting
Based on you campaign keywords, we provide monthly reporting as part of you plan to show you the relevant positions in the SERPs (Search Engine Result Pages) to show you which position you rank in for each term and for each search engine.
